Barbara Schöffel
Authorized Officer & Project Manager DACH
Based in Salzburg, Barbara is the perfect Austrian addition to our team. After qualifying as a high-school teacher in French, philosophy, and psychology, she consciously chose a path beyond the traditional education system.
She lived and worked in France for several years, immersing herself in language and culture, before moving into business. She managed the French market for SONY DADC in Salzburg and later led customer consulting, trainer recruiting, quality assurance, and annual program design at the Hernstein Institute for Leadership and Management in Vienna.
Alongside her professional career, she completed a degree in Advertising and Sales at WU Vienna.
Today, Barbara is part of the forwardservice leadership team. She manages client projects (especially where French expertise is required), conducts trainings, supports speaker management, oversees CRM and HR topics, and is responsible for billing. She brings analytical thinking, solution-oriented action, and a strong Austrian hands-on mentality to every task.
In her private life, her two sons keep things active – hiking, cycling, skiing, swimming… always on the move. To keep her creative mind energized, she loves her theater subscription and Salzburg’s vibrant cultural scene.
Kirsten Henschel
Marketing Coordination
Kirsten holds a master’s degree in Media and Cultural Studies and German Studies and discovered her passion for language early on. As a reporter for the radio station Antenne Düsseldorf, she honed her skills in communication, research, and journalism.
Her marketing career led her from an international factoring company into various start-ups – ranging from a fashion label to a tech start-up. Kirsten has a sharp eye for detail, combines creativity with strong execution skills, and is responsible for marketing coordination at forwardservice.
She has a particular talent for creative design: from training materials for tailored client projects and logos to distinctive gimmicks and details for customer events. Kirsten ensures that the visual experience at forwardservice excites and leaves a lasting impression.
In her free time, Kirsten is enthusiastically converting a van into her own camper and is already looking forward to traveling through the UK. Her yoga mat is always part of the journey – preferably rolled out under open skies.

In addition to German and English, Ann-Kathrin speaks fluent Spanish and French and has basic knowledge of Italian and Turkish.

Emil Hommers
Working Student – Video Editing & Postproduction
Emil supports forwardservice as a working student in video editing while studying Audio and Visual Engineering in Düsseldorf. This unique program combines technical training with musical education through a cooperation between the Düsseldorf University of Music and the Hochschule Düsseldorf.
This background shapes his holistic view of audiovisual content, allowing him to think of technology, sound, and image as one. Emil has long been passionate about film and video, fascinated by how images, sound, and editing convey emotion and tell stories.
At forwardservice, he transforms content into compelling video impulses, refines details, and ensures projects are completed both technically and creatively.
Music also plays a central role in his life outside of editing. As a passionate musician, Emil plays piano and violin. His musical sense of timing, rhythm, and atmosphere flows directly into his editing work – making his videos not only precise, but emotionally impactful.
